Some of you may know that I have been regularly monitoring websites like deals2buy.com and slickdeals.net. These are two websites that shows “good” deals, and are posted on a highly regular basis.
I am recently being overtaken by the online shopping craze, so much that it amazes myself too… It brought me to recall how I used to think about online shopping… previously known as Ecommerce…
I used to think… What a stupid idea? Why would someone buy something online if they can go to the stores to feel the thing out and try it on 200 times? Also, the additional cost involved in the purchase is certainly going to turn people off. That was when I was in school in 2001 (maybe).
Fast forward to 2007… Little did I know that I will fall prey to the ease and temptation of online shopping… big time (esp the past month)
Having been here for 19 months, being in the American culture of “buy buy buy”, and the two awesome websites that we discovered…. My stand has totally change. I am now a convert.
What drives me to blog this…. ? The reason is becoz I just bought 5 A&F items online. (becoz they are CHEAPer)
This is one day after buying a Bluetooth Stereo Headset 24 hrs earlier (online), and buying 5 shirts last weekend (from a store though).
If you think I have change… I wouldn’t say it’s absolutely true… I eye something for a long time… then when the time is ripe… I strike… the only thing that makes what I say appear to be less true is the fact that the two times I strike are just too close to each other (within 24 hrs of each other).
I always wanted to buy a cheaper A&F shirt… and my interest for the Bluetooth Stereo headset steams from the fact that I am probably going to travel more frequently, and during my last trip out, my ear phone didn’t give me the best of time…
All’s set and done… I must confess that I am truly a online shopping addict.
Oh yes… if you want to join me, you can always visit the websites I mentioned.
