Quick updates

Decided to update my blog since I am waiting for those dodos to pick me.

To where? To Denver Colorado!

Lucky escape 1.

There was a huge snow storm yesterday morning. All flights in and out of Denver were cancelled! We were praying hard that our trip will still go on.

Today.... our flight is at 615pm, the one at 5pm has been cancelled..... ours? It has been confirmed!! we are going skiing.... yeah..

Thank God!

We requested for certain thing documents that required the client to consult their legal person who is located somewhere in USA. So it took him a while before he got back to me with the request.

At the same time, we have made a couple of additional request more than we need as a critical figure in the computation was not updated. We needed 37, instead of the 44 requested.

When I looked at the samples that we have received, one of them is wrong because my manager has marked out the line above the sample that we selected in error. Hence the client got us the sample that was marked out.

As we use this statistical method of generating our samples, we could not simply replace this. It has to be one of the 6 samples that (based on our statistical tool) is not required.

Long story short, it was the last one that we do not need!!!!!!! that means, if we have 38 instead of 37, this would have been selected, and my client will have to go through the long process of contacting the legal person and blah blah blah..

Bottom line... everyone will be PISSED..

But Thank GOD!! it didnt turn out that day. Why?

I know... in the morning.. I was feeling kinda stressed by the work that has accumulated, and the different tasks that were assigned... so I started the day telling God: "God... you lead the way... take my day.."

It is just like today... stop worrying and start praying... it seems the more effective thing to do.

Thank God and Thank God....

Busy busy busy...

My week has been filled with work, moving of my things, other projects... etc etc...

Will be going to Denver for my first Skiing trip... exciting... plus will be putting up at the house of dodo... so wont be updating blog for a while...

the next time i blog, hopefully i will be in this new and happening apartment... nicely settled...

Weekend travel

As some of you may know, my firm has this wonderful policy about weekend travel, that we are allowed to spend up to $750 on weekend travel if you are out of town for two weeks.

I was fortunate enough to piggyback on my love's weekend travel and went to Washington DC over the weekends. The trip was a pleasant one. We did abit of everything..

Eating, sight seeing, relaxing... spending time together... it was great...

Could have been a bit rush, but thanks to God's intervention, we failed to wake up on scheduled time for both days, hence had the chance to sleep in a little. I felt great after the trip.

Write more abt it plus photos next time.
